Hello again!

Being new at the studio, let me introduce myself: My name is Émilie, 20yo. I love cinema, literature, to solve puzzles, and to write stories. I like white chocolate, vanilla coffee, crying in front of movies, and also the sound of the rain crashing on my windows. As far as I can remember, I've always been interested in arts, aiming to work in the profession. Well, actually this is half true.

As a kid I wanted to be Uma Thurman in Kill Bill, a doctor, a schoolteacher and an astronaut, but as I said earlier, I like solving puzzles but I never enjoyed maths.
So today I’m a young French graphic designer who’s just arrived from Bordeaux. I have a passion for typography and editorial design since my first school year in graphic design. I just start my internship at Studio Paul Bergman this week, but I have already been in Amsterdam last summer for holidays. I was thinking that it would be great to have another experience in this city, but this time, for work.

The only bad point of Holland is your food, you don’t know the good French bread, and so your sandwich are really bad.. 😓

I’ve found the city very nice, and its culture is great! So many more museums than Bordeaux, and probably sure, a better graphic design scene. The only bad point of Holland is your food, you don’t know the good French bread, and so your sandwich are really bad.. 😓
It’s my first time experiencing to work in another country, and before my arriving, I have to admit that I was a little bit stressed, I was like, how can I meet people, and of course how can I find a place to live? (—I was actually stressed by all that relates to leaving France ahah). I found a room quickly thanks to Paul who gaves me Facebook’s groups, and a nice friend who also interned here in Amsterdam. He's visited my place before I arrived. It was crazy because I have not seen this friend for almost 7 years, we were in the same class at primary school!
Now that I’m settled, I’m so excited to start to work, and to discover this beautiful city again!
